History

Daniel's personal faith journey started shortly after graduation from the University of Kansas in 1970. Through several colleagues at the University he became a Christian, and began to grow in his faith. By 1975 he was recognized as an elder/pastor of the church.

In 1979 Daniel was selected along with another pastor to lead a church-planting team to Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. God gave grace to see a growing, multiplying church established. (This is where they were privileged to meet and labor with Larry and Lisa Lloyd.)

By 1988, after getting married and starting a family, Daniel and Lori moved to the west suburbs of Chicago to help plant another church. With a strong leadership team in the Chicago church (Glen Arbor Community Church), Daniel was in a position to answer a call to European missionary church-planting in 1990.

Their short-term mission plan were to continue to work towards establishing the three local churches in the Rhein-Ruhr area of Germany (Dortmund, Düsseldorf and Cologne). Daniel will continue to provide coaching support to churches in Torino, Italy; Madrid, Spain; Berlin, Germany; Poznan, Poland; and Amsterdam, Holland.

In the long term, Daniel sees three areas of focus.

1) Maintaining each of the current works, and seeing them progress to the point of reproducing themselves.

2) Pioneering new church plants in other countries. (There are leads and good prospects already in Ireland, Scotland and Romania.)

3) Helping lay the groundwork for Great Commission Europe and cooperating with the global efforts of the Great Commission churches.

In addition, Daniel and Lori are eager to help facilitate and participate in a growing network of evangelical churches in Europe, who can cooperate and help one another in reaching this very needy continent.
